The decisions we make today will determine how we live tomorrow. Energy storage is needed for California to build a cleaner, more reliable energy grid and create thousands of good-paying jobs to boost our economic recovery. Each day we delay building new clean energy storage solutions increases the risk that we won’t meet our climate and clean air goals. Right now, California is paying other states millions to take excess renewable energy off our hands.

California has made a commitment to fight climate change by ramping up to 100 percent renewable energy by 2045.

CALIFORNIA HAS A LONG WAY TO GO TO MEET OUR CLIMATE GOALS.

Now is the time to start planning and putting the necessary tools in place to achieve our clean energy future. Some clean energy storage facilities can take up to 10 years to integrate into the power grid – the time to act is now.

Check out the timeline below.

CLEAN ENERGY FACTS.

Governor Newsom has doubled down on California’s commitment to fight climate change which will include “progress in energy efficiency and storage technology.”

Many new clean energy storage projects take nearly a decade to build and integrate with California’s power system.
